So this being my first child I'm really struggling with naming my little angel. It seems like I have everyone is telling me that the name should have some underlying meaning to me or some sentimental importance. What if it's just a name that I find that I like but has no real significance other than possibly being what my child will be called the rest of his/her life? I think that is enough but should there be certain things I take into consideration when naming my baby? What did you all keep in mind when naming your bundles of joy?

Its YOUR baby , so its YOUR choice . don't let anyone tell you how to name your baby , picking out my names , I tried going towards names that are really unique , and not original . I wanted it to have similarities to my boyfriends name . its all up to you , I hope you find one soon ! (: xoxo

I have picked a name for my daughter that my husband and I liked. Her middle name will be my middle name but her first name is just a name that we liked. I don't think it has to be something that has meaning to you - it's just something that we could see her growing up as. In response to the post above, I don't think I was ever asked why my parents named me what they did.. and why is it anyone's business why my parents named me what they did.

My daughter I picked a first name and her middle name is a family name on her dad's side. My son my mom helped with his first name and he has his dad's and grandpa middle name and this baby his name is what my husband and I like and his middle name is after his great grandpa. You will find names you like and write them down and see how you like it.

Honestly, when naming my daughter, I have just thought what do I want her answer to be when her teacher in school asks her "Why did your parents name you what they did?" I want her to be able to say that her name has meaning but that's just my personal opinion. It's all up to you my dear. If you like a name then that's reason enough! :)

I just found a name that I liked, I found it on the computer and I just looked up names from like the 50s' and thats how I did it just look up what kind of name you want. It will come to you!

You name your baby whatever you want. There's no stipulations. Don't let anyone tell you different. It's your child and what they will be called is completely up to you and it doesn't netted if the name isn't sentimental . It being your child's name makes it sentimental
