Weird Question

I'm a deer hunter. I have been for nearly 10 years. By the time hunting season opens I will be 6 months pregnant.  Now, I'm not banking on there being many hunters on here so this is quite a long shot but my question is;
Is it safe to shoot a gun while pregnant?

Different people have different outcomes. Just because one person had nothing happen doesn't mean someone else will have the same luck. Id think handguns would be okay if careful. But not the type of guns you want to hunt with. Keep in mind also, the farther along you get, the looser and more fragile your joints are all over your body. They soften big time. So using a gun like that could easily dislocate your shoulder(even when not pregnant), but much easier while pregnant. Talk to your doc but I wouldn't risk it. There's always next year. There's a lot we have to give up unfortunately lol but it's only 9 months.

My aunt went hunting both times she was pregnant and her kids turned out just fine.  On top of that she's a nurse so I would think she would know if it was OK or not. I guess it's up to you and what your doctor says. I think if you feel like you can,  more power to you! I'm a deer hunter too and unless I was 8 months+ I would be out there. Just saying.

I will be between 7 and 8 months when I hunt here in Michigan for gun season. I am going. You're just supposed to wear layers to help with the sound and not use lead ammo. My doctor recommended not going to a firing range though. Because you're shooting more than one shot at a time.

Im a big deer hunter too....it depeneds what season you hunt in. Such as muzzle loader season....I like that one but the kick back is to powerful and will seperate the placenta from the uterine wall...just depends on kick back of the gun

I can still go hatchling hunting, thats strictly relocating the baby gators so it doesn't get over populated in one area, but as for wrestling or shooting the beast, my doctor says no, it can stress your baby out and lead to premature birth, or worse. But every doctor is different and will have different advice, so I would ask before taking any advice on here seriously. Not saying ANYONE on here is wrong, it's just better to have a professional opinion.
