thanks ladies. i guess i'll wait to see if i can even carry another baby to term.
ok having had a c-section...I can tell you that if your bladder has already gone through the ringer don't have a c-section. With mine, they had to pull my bladder aside and it ached when i peed for months. Honestly I would NEVER EVER EVER have an ELECTIVE c-section. I had my first by c-sec and the rest have been VBAC.
BUT having considered the stuff you went through with VB I can totally see why you are considering elective c-section. I will tell you thought that recovery isn't easy, depending on your body. It's painful and having to deal with a newborn alone is strenuous after a c-sec but dealing with a newborn AND other kids is going to be more strenuous. It's definately something to consider...but make sure you talk to your doctor and research all the possible complications either way so you can make a very informed decision.
I don't think there's a problem with wanting to have a c-section. You obviously had a hard time with VB because you bled and tore so badly. If you can prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for a c-section, why not?! It's your birthing experience!!!
It does ,but i riped really bad and took a lot of stitches. With my first i actually exploded done there. The nurse told me to push ,dr told me not to , the next thing i know the dr drops everything falls back and has to catch her. It happened really fast and took about 30 min to sew me up.. i lost a lot of blood with both.
I wanted a normal birth but have to have a csection... I thought when you had vb that everything went back to semi normal?
