What to pack!

For myself and my baby in hospital.. Can someone write me a quick checklist?? Ftm and no clue what too bring.. I live in australia so im not sure how the hospitals differ in other countries and what they supply or what i need to bring.

They might actually also your hospital ur giving birth should have given you their maternity information did u get a bounty bag? u can also get them from the chemist if ur midwife didnt give you one.. in mine it says
*medicare card
comfortable clothing
loose ajustable slippers for swollen feet
breast pads
sanitary pads
bras and comfortable underwear
tolietries...

For bubba
Nappies
bottle teats and formula if you.bottle feed
a blanket and some bunny rugs
mittens socks and beanies
singlets
short and long jumpsuits and outfit to go home

thats a basic list.

Did u get a info booklet in your bounty bag? I got one and it tells you what u may need....

SLIPPERS !! Some hospitals want you to walk around a little after delivery. Bring comfortable clothing that you can easily slide on and off when it's time for you to be discharged. Check with your hospital as to what they do provide because my hospital let us take everything in our room that was for the baby. Make sure u get lots of rest while you can !!

Hi Kim I'm from Australia as well, my local hospital only provides cloth nappies but you can definitely ask yours what they provide. I'm a ftm too so I haven't a clue what to pack just thought I'd say that in America they seem to provide a lot more for bubs in the hospital than here so be sure to ask :)

Ok so far i have nappys, wipes, bag of baby soaps and powder, blanket, face washer, dummies, a plush toy, 4 x singlets, 4 x socks, pair of mittens.. do you think i should pack some bibs?

What size clothes are you packing for bub?  0000? 000?

Normally the hospital will provide you with diapers and formula if you decide not too breast feed so you shouldn't have to worry about those things and i brought a few outfits for baby cuz i couldn't decide on what to take and i knew i was gonna have a lot of visitors

I packed an outfit for me to go home in, an outfit for baby to go home in, a robe, slippers, a memory book to get her footprints in, travel sized body wash, shampoo, face wash and lotion, stuff like that, a baby blanket, and mittens for her hands. My hospital supplies pads, underwear, diapers, wipes, hats, and formula. I plan on staying in my hospital gown the whole time because I'd rather ruin that then my clothes and I don't plan on having many visitors. I still have to pack the things I'm still using, like my phone charger, comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, snacks, and pillow.
