Whats going on?

Hi all,
I have the copper coil (IUD) in place for 7months now, I have had regular periods since having it in - every 4 weeks. now I have not had period for just over 8 weeks, x2 negative pregnancy tests, went to the doctors this morning who just said come back in 2 weeks if still no period and we'll do some more preg tests etc. Obviously I am now wondering what on earth is going on!! Could I be pregnant? what other things could cause this? I'm not stressed or had rapid changes in weight as other sites suggest as alternative causes for missed periods. Help!!

Hi There,
I have come to learn that IUDs are very affective, however, no BC is 100% affective. My Dr. told me once, IUD's will NOT stop you from getting pregnant, but it will stop implantation. I too am very concerned myself right now of being pregnant. I have a Dr. Appt tomorrow. I have a Mirena IUD, and have not had a period, however, Ive heard the difference between the two (Paraguard and Mirena) is yours will most likely cause you to have periods, where mine (the Mirena) will stop my period. Im hoping everything turns out the way you wish.

Please keep us posted =)
