Why do I feel like this?!

Okay.. So this is weird and I haven't had this at all this pregnancy.. What the heck is going on?? So I went to bed around 11 last night and woke up at 8:45 today.. Thats 9 hours and 45 minutes of sleep which is good.. Well all day I have been exhausted and my brain feels so cloudy that I can't even think straight.  I was standing downstairs waiting for a lady to go to lunch so I could fill in for her and I looked around and almost tipped over! I literally had to catch myself with my hand on the desk otherwise I would have fallen over.. I dont know whats going on.  I ate 2 pieces of toast and an egg for breakfast which is waht I normally eat, and then after almost passing out I had a cup of applesauce, a cup of mandarine oranges, and a rice krispy bar.  I have been drinking water and root beer all morning.. So Im not dehydrated.. Anyone know whats going on?? I have my glucose test tomorrow and Im afraid it might be related to my blood sugar and now Im scared I have gest. diabetes..

I've read the usual reason for the dizziness and light-headedness has to do with your blood pressure.  You're pumping a lot more blood than you would if you weren't pregnant, and sometimes getting up too quickly or moving too fast causes you to get dizzy.

Last week, I started to feel really blechy after eating in the morning.  I, too, thought maybe I had gest. diabetes.  I think tho, that with the baby getting bigger, more of my vitamins and nutrients are being sucked dry and leaving me with nothing so the baby has everything!!  lol  Fine by me, just wish it didn't make me feel like ****!  =D

As for House ...it used to come on Tuesday nights on FOX at 9pm est.  Once I moved to NE, I didn't realize it came on at 8pm here, so I missed a lot of it.  But that show rocks, and Hugh Laurie is definitely a hottie!  =D  I don't know if it's still coming on on Tues. since the season is probably over.  They do weird things with repeats.  Best way to find out is to check tvguide.com and do a search for House.  =D

holspowell- I didn't mean to be offensive. I didn't know you had a 3 year old which makes it completely understandable as to why you choose not to watch it. You just made the show seem like its disgusting or something when its really not, in my mind. I guess our age difference comes with completely different mentallities when it comes to certain things. I was just asking a simple question to the poster who is pretty much my age if she watches a show I love and she says she hasn't seen it. You didn't need to put in that its a disgusting show or anything...And no offense but I just stated that I disagreed. And now that you have explained why, it is understandable. Now its over and done with.

holly_b- thanks hun I will be watching some episodes when I get the chance...I noticed that all the other seasons just seem to have clips! I was getting annoyed with that lol.

I'm glad to know dizziness and foggy-head, etc. is normal with 3rd trimester.  I've been having that big time!

And when I took my blood pressure last night, it was 96 over 75, but my pulse was 103!  Is that normal too?

YOU STATED: holspowell...I can't say I agree. Sure there is some inappropriate behavior but its not like were a bunch of kids that can't handle it or something. And there is some sex but not a lot. What show doesn't have SOME gossip? Its just about 10 peoples lives. She describes it as a horrible show but I can't describe how many times I have cried watching it because of happiness and sadness of whats going on. I just got into the latest season and I have heard it went downhill but I will be checking that out for myself!

My REPLY: Be that as it may, I refuse to watch something that, if at anytime my son wakes up because, for example, he wants water in the middle of the night, and walks in on something "Innapropriate" Going on in the show, well then I'm going describe it in a certain way. We as moms have to realize that our kids learn out to live life through us and our spouses. We imitate whatever they are going to be or do or see. So, therefore, I choose not to watch those types of programs, ESPECIALLY if it means that I don't have to expose my child to those types of things. As he grows up, yes, those things will become an issue, but I don't want to have to explain to my 3 YEAR OLD why two women are getting it on, or why he shouldn't use that word because its a dirty word. So If I don't watch it, then he won't see it, I choose to live a Pure Life, with what I say, watch, do and see. Period. Thats whats wrong with our children, today.

holly..I agree. I started on the Xbox when my bf downloaded some episodes and we were both addicted. The dwlding from xbox was getting expensive so I went to blockbuster like everyday to rent the dvds. I watched all three seasons in less then a month..probably about 2 weeks. I stopped because season 4 isn't available on dvd yet...so I just bought the first 3 episodes of the season from teh xbox again lol. I just watched them last night! All three in a row..*shakes head* some shows man! I used to love the ER too! But the episodes are just way too far and few for me to keep up..

lol oh.. Yeah I haven't seen it.  House is actually kind of a nice show to watch because you dont really need to know whats going on.  They focus more on the patient stories than the main charachter stories which makes it an interesting show.. I dont know when its on it changes all the time and honestly I havent been able to catch ANY tv lately with how much I have been working lol

I just asked because I love the show and its about a bunch of doctors at a hospital in seattle..and since you work in a hospital I was just going to ask if you see any similarities. Its my favorite show lol. I have only watched one episode on tv and fell in love so I went and rented every dvd thats out and watched it from the beginning. Yeah it is a series so some things you may be confused on but a lot of things are different each episode. I have never watched house. When is it on? Maybe I will try and catch an episode.

I used to LOVE Grey's Anatomy but like most shows it has gotten unbearable to watch.  Why over time do all characters become annoying and overly dramatic?  That's how I feel about Grey's.  Meredith became all to melodramatic and miserable.  Always pushing her McDreamy away, when he is just so wonderful.  But that now makes him seem sort of pathetic that he will constantly take her c r a p.  Izzie is just the most annoying human being ever...so whiney and flaky.  I still like George though and I'm digging Meredith's sister, she's actually really sweet.

Sounds like normal 3rd trimester stuff..... I am soooo exhausted sometimes (most of the time!) I want to just cry! lol... I wasn't nearly this tired in the 1st trimester. I also get really light-headed on occasion. Typically, being light-headed is not a sign of gestational diabetes; in fact there are normally no signs of GB at all. I thought I may have had it, but my test came back negative (thank goodness!)..... my morning sickness has returned too, which is really aggrevating! Do discuss these symptoms w/your doctor, but rest assured that they're more than likely normal. Best wishes to you!

Aaahhh, you're hitting the third trimester.  You will feel extra exhausted and lightheaded.  Your baby is growing and basically your body is going into overtime to nourish it.  Plus, it's taking all of your vitamins and nutrients.  It's very normal.  Tell your doctor how you feel but this is typical of the third trimester.  I remember feeling like I did in the beginning, my morning sickness even came back....ugh!!
