Congrats to you GeekMom!!! Nursing school is no easy task even if you have no children. Everyone thought I was crazy cuz I planned and had my wedding during my first year of nursing school, I could never imagine with a baby! Also best wishes to all your other mommies to be going into nursing! Its such a rewarding career and I know you'll all do great!

My plan is the same as geekmom's. I am finishing my pre-reqs this summer before my baby is born and taking fall off since she will be here at midterms and I can't miss those. If I get into the nursing program I will start in spring. My husband plans to change his work schedule to accommodate my school schedule, and if he gets called in for some reason my mother in law has offered to help. I know it will be tough and I will miss my girl, but it will be worth it when we can provide for her like we want to be able to. Good luck mom!

I am due in August too and school starts a week after I am due. I have a loving boyfriend (baby's father) to help out. So, I will be attending class (I just have a few math classes left) in the morning. I just have to adjust my work schedule so that I am home before 4 and with my little one.

I started full time college classes when my son was 6 months old. I was in a nursing program so classes were on campus and clinical were at any one of five medical facilities within an hour's drive. My brother watched my son one day a week, my bf changed his work schedule to be able to stay home with him one day a week, and he went to an in-home daycare the rest of the week. I was in school for 2.5 years, just graduated in December having earned my degree as an RN. I continued to breastfeed until just before my son turned 2, we made all our own baby food and also used exclusively cloth diapers. It took a lot of planning and a lot of determination. But I knew that finishing my education was what was best for my family and so I couldn't give up. It was worth every minute of class time and study time and although I missed my little man I still made the time to be the best mommy I could and he got lots of bonding time with his daddy and his uncle to boot. He was also better prepared to enter daycare when I got my awesome job after graduation.

I went back to college when my bby was four months old. .  She went to a private crèche while I was there.
Getting assignments done is really tough - tougher than you think. But you'll get there - congratulations to you all stayin in education xx

With my classes they are online. I only have to check in once a week and have assignments turned in Sunday at 11:59 pm . So when my baby gets here ill do it while she sleeps or while my bf watches her..
