a little frustrated.

So my boyfriends family lives in mexico so once in a while they ask him for money which I didnt mind but that waa before...im now 18 weeks pregnant only working 3 days a week so we rely on my boyfriends income for pretty much everything...he has a decent job but nothing big...anyways his brother just asked him for $700 for the 15th of december, he sent hia family $150 last week to get another of his brothers out of jail...and today one of his brothers got sick and needs surgery and asked him for $1000. I know im gonna sound so selfish but we are trying to save for the baby and not only that we need a new dryer and washer that we need to buy and how can we save when his family is constantly asking him for money and he gives it to them...im just mad this is all happening when we need to save money the most!

Thank u ladies, it makes me feel better that you all think im not being selfish, I talked to my boyfriend about it and he pretty much said its his money and will help his family anytime they need it, so pretty much I have no say..but he told me.not to worry the baby and I will have everything we need as well...so I guess that makes it better.

I dont think u are selfish or should feel bad in any way! your a mother you want the best for ur child that's completely understandable. id feel the same hun!! when ever we have spare money we go straight to the shops to buy for baby. cos I spend every cent i have on my baby!! I dont judge u at all. id let ur man know how u feel tho!! keep us updated :)))

I hear ya. It's like Everytime we try to save up for the baby,  something pops up. I know in the end when baby is here, we will have everything we need, but it's in the moment stress. Just try talking to your boyfriend and let him know its stressing you out. Maybe he can start setting aside money from each check that's just for baby to reassure you that you'll be ok once baby is here. By the way, you don't sound selfish. ..you're a mom who wants the best for her child.

Why don't you tell him about your concern, and its not being selfish you have to hold your own, and I'm sure his family will understand his mom should know how hard and expensive a baby is. Plus, his brother should know he needs to stay out of jail bc money does not grow on trees. Just bc one lives in the US it does not mean we are rich.
And I know where you're coming from we have family in mexico as well.

I totally get it and like I said I dont wanna sound selfish I know its rough over there! But I just feel like its one thing after the other...and I cant seem to get a break from them...and I understand he needs surgery and its an emergency so thats not a problem, but like I said I feel overwhelmed its one thing after the other.

My husband family lives in mexico as well, and not tryin to be mean or sound rude. So i hope this doesnt come off wrong but you knw ppl in mexico are struggling more w money cz they get paid less than wat we do. And to Mexico 100 is alot for them over there in pesos. I understand they ask maybe every week but they should ask once every month and your husband doesn't have to give his brother a full amount just give him wat he can but the reason the brother asking right away cz they have to pay for surgery right when there done or before they start. My husband has to give his grandma money soon cz she lost her husband and everyone helping her out and so is my husband.
