Today marks the start of my 39th week. As of last Friday the baby hasn't engaged and I don't feel any braxton hicks at all....I was told by my Dr he's going to let me go a week past my due date. All I want to do is avoid a c-section

I had my baby june 8th. On my due date. I had sooo many signs of labor up until like 38-39 wks. So i wouldn't worry about that. I literally wasn't having braxton hicks, baby didn't drop, and i didn't have my bloody show or anything and at 11pm i started contracting, started to time them around midnight due to them being frequent and than went to the hospital. Your baby will come when its ready. Having no signs is nothing to worry about.

Same here. 38 weeks +, only dilated to 1.5cm for the last two weeks. Really don't want a c-section either.
