I have tricare prime. The doctors on post are awful and they had to send me off post to a high risk OB here in Columbia and I'm covered for everything.

I am in CA and we have a ob on base but have to go to the navy hospital to deliver and for certain things like anatomy scan. We haven't paid anything. Also check into all the classes they offer. There are a ton and most of them are free!!!

I have standard and have no copay for my visits I paid $35 for my hospital stay and delivery. I also paid one fee of 185 for an ultrasound that tricare doesn't consider medically necessary

Yes it will be prime since they don't have an obgyn. Beaufort is getting rid of their ob as well. Weird. I wonder why?

I know right. Really weird. It should be prime downtown too right? Since they don't have obs and if I have to switch back to standards its gonna ***** for me.

So you're saying that since they don't have ob... Downtown should be covered as well? Aye, I really hope so. Cuz if I have to switch back to standard its only gonna be a co pay for sure. Which is half half.

If you deliver on base absolutely everything is covered. My navy hospital(Beaufort South Carolina) doesn't have a labor and delivery so I gave birth out in town for free! If you don't want to go through your military hospital then you have to switch to tri care standard and there are co pays but they aren't high.

I'd imagine since you have prime it'll be covered since you don't really have a choice to go on our off since they don't have an obgyn? Weird. Both bases we have been to have them on base so I have no idea there! But I've never had issues with tricare covering anything if they had to refer me off base for my toddler or anything.

I have the prime so I do check ups on base but  unfortunately they don't have an ob on base so have to go downtown. I'm having my ob class this June 5th on base to know bout insurance and theyre gonna refer some obs for me its just that I'm really like curious how it goes. How it works for my insurance since its gonna be downtown. Like am I gonna have to pay half for that. Sigh*

I've always gone on base, and everything is covered with the birth and after care. I'm not positive about off base but I believe you'll have some co pays. Ive read some girls literally only paid like 30 bucks so they aren't horrible co pays either way.
