hhhmmmmm.....idk, if i would take one.....esp since df already has 2 kids, and i practically raised my 2 youngest siblings.....maybe you should see if your local health dept has one, so you're not driving so far away?
but if you really want to, i'd take it...especially since you said you don't have alot of experience with babies!
but i'd def see if there are any local classes, like with the health dept, or YMCA(i know they offer them in some places!)
I took one and found it VERY helpful. My class was led by nurses and they had us put diapers on dolls and talked about the newest information in baby care (like don't give your baby rum when they are teething, don't use crib bumpers, etc.).
They talk about things that you need to know about and it will be worth it! When you have that baby you're going to bring them home and sit down and go, "Oh no! What now?" They'll be crying, then you'll be crying...
Go! And take the daddy with you!!!
Okay we went to a breastfeeding course and my husband came along. They made him strap on a fake breast and "nurse" a baby using different holds. It was hysterical! Obviously that's an entirely different class altogether, but it was so much fun and I felt tons better when it was time for my baby to arrive!
