well I dont want you to take this the wrong way, but your sistyer should really bring herself up to date on these two very important "super foods"maca nourishes the endochrine system and part of that system is your overies, royal jelly is fed to the queen bee, bees usually only live for a couple of months, the queen bee only eats royal jelly and lives for 2yrs I think it is, and it helps her to produce eggs, thats all she does and it due to the royal jelly, I'm taking these from my reserch and as well as this my re has fully backed this course as well, if you dont want to go the natural way, get on some dhea as this promotes healthy eggs as well, or look up www.natural-fertility-info. com (spaced out so it doesnt get xxx out) this will give you more info on the natural suppliments :) good luck in which ever course you decide to follow :)
thanks for letting me know. I asked my sister who's a naturapath about RJ and maca, and she wasn't familiar. Maybe I'll stick with the dr's plan for now and see what happens.
Thanks for all the info
its not reccomended to take maca with hormone stuff, as maca works by nourishing the endochrine system which in turn regulates your hormones naturally, so if your taking progesterone as well I dont think that is a good idea, also its not reccomended if your taking any type of fertility drugs :)
I will be taking royal jelly and maca as well....
I did an ultrasound but it didn't have anything in there. Another blood test on Tuesday....I'll keep you updated.
thanks again
blighted ovums wont be stoped by progesterone, you need the above things I've mentioned for egg quality, if your progesterone was low, then yes that will hep with that but not egg health, with rising hcg levels you maynot have passed everything if you had a natural miscarriage, or they may have missed something if you had a d&c or the only other thing I can think of is twins, and you lost one and the other is still in pl, you should be getting another hcg level check to see if its still rising or has started to drop, maca will naturally balance your hormones and increase your progesterone if needed :)
spoke with my dr. He wants to put me on progesterone,,,
here's a funny thing though - the day I started bleeding my beta level was 89.5..one week later I did the blood test again and I was 124...huh?
any comments on that one?
if your live in us you can also buy dhea, you will need to take 25mg 3x a day and take it for 3 months before getting preggers, if you do the dhea dont do the maca and vice versa :)
thanks again..going to the local healthstore tomorrow!
Oh and maybe get some vital greens or spirulina as well the spirulina you can get as tablets as that has a strong taste as well :)
yes I'm on coq10 as well, both royal jelly and maca can be purchased from health food stores, chemists that stack alternative therapies/suppliments or on line, with the maca make sure you get organic and it has a nutty full flavour so you may want to try the capsuals first, or if you get the powder you can make it into a smoothie and have it that way each day :)
wow thanks. Where do you purchase both of them? I'm on it immediately!!!!
btw I've started taking CoQ10 this week because I heard on the news that it actually helps with healthy ovaries. I'll
I have had two blighted ovum and have had healthy pregnanciers afterwards, I would suggest you start taking royal jelly and maca for your egg health, after my first one I started the royal jelly and then went on to have a healthy baby, now 3 and my recent one was in nov, and I have since added maca as well as the royal jelly, eggs take 3 months to mature so the sooner you get on them the better and the longer your on them the better :)
I had my progesterone checked and it was Really low that was one of the reasons and after my daughter there was blood clots cutting off bloodflow to the placenta. I take a baby aspirin whih is the smallest mg of aspirin my prenatals and progesterone pills everyday, ill be twelve Weeks Saturday :) Goodluck hun and I'm sorry for your loss. Keep your head up! <3
