hmm... engagement & pregnancy..

I have a feeling that people are going to try to blame our engagement on our pregnancy lol,the idea just hit me because i remembered that he proposed to me about a week before we concieved. and im not one to get married or consider marriage with someone just because im pregnant by them,i base marriage solely on our love & relationship, but since they both just happened to happen around the same time i feel as if when i tell my family im pregnant they're going to be rude & make these inacurate assumptions,not that i care what they have to say, i just dont want to deal with it. Has anyone on here ever had to deal with this kinda situation?

I was pregnant for like a month when I got married n when we told people that where going to have a baby people to say that was the reason we got married at the begin it really made me mad but then I just did not care I love my husband my n the baby we are having I don't care what people have to say

Same thing happened to me and my fiance...we got engaged two months before i got pregnant. We were trying and it happened on the first try! I immediately thought they were going to think the same thing, but we know the truth! Im just like you, i would never get married just bc im pregnant. We love each other and if they want to think that, its their problem lol. Good luck to you hun!

Cool! i hope they dont see it that way,that would just be very closed minded of them amd my family is such a pain, but i agree with what your saying too, & yea we're not really in a rush to get married we're takin our time as well (:

Stay married 30 or 40 years.  That will show them the marriage was based on love.

My husband did propose to me while I was pregnant. But we didn't get married until after our daughter was born. In fact, she was 5 at our wedding! I don't think people will blame the proposal on the pregnancy as much as the pregnancy on the proposal. Especially if you wait a while to get married.
