My kids both had bright light blue eyes until they were about 4 years old, then they changed to a blue/green exotic looking eyes:) my son is 8 weeks old and his eyes are a little darker blue but I assume they will change to the green when he hits about preschool age. My husband has green eyes and I have brown.
My oldest had blue eyes until she was 2. Then they turned a beautiful green. She is 16 now & they are still green.
Yes, brown is dominant. What that means is that if you have two parents with Blue eyes, all the babies will be blue eyed. People with blue eyes aren't "hiding" a brown gene in there - otherwise it would dominate and the person's eyes would be brown. All blue eyed people carry is the gene for blue.
If you have parents with brown eyes, anything can happen. ;D They can have brown eyes (dominant) and be hiding a blue eye gene. If both you and the baby's dad have a hidden blue eye gene, your baby can have blue eyes.
Clear as mud, sorry. ;D
Brown is dominate - I have blue eyes, my husband has brown. We think we got lucky really.
My fiance and I both have blue eyes and my little man has blue. His other son has brown eyes, (dad blue mom brown). Its hard to say. I've heard blue more eyes are a more dominant color but than I've heard the same for brown.
Both my fiance and i have brown eyes. Do you think they will stay? There are blue eyes in the both of our families.
Mines never did and she kept her blue eyes.
