One thing no one said is SUPPORT. Breastfeeding isn't always easy and is a little painful at first, make sure you have people to support you because you may change your mind or just have a hard time with it. I was ready to give up after two days, but I had plenty of support and it helped me continue to breastfeed.
Nursing pillow. I looked so hard to find double sided boppy with firm and soft side, i love it.
You don't even need if they are flat or inverted. Mine were inverted and I manually made them come out so baby could latch. Nipple shield is easier with it though but if you do go that route baby can become attached.
You dont need a nipple shield unless you have flat/ inverted nipples
Nipple shield , lanolin , breast pads . that's pretty much all u need. Unless u are pumping .
Breast pump, pads for leaking, lanolin nipple cream, cover if you want it
