breastfreeding & smoking?
I breastfeed & i wanna know if cigarette smoking will make my milk bad? I only take a couple drags here & there..
My mom smoke and drank beer while breastfeeding and we're fine. She said it made us sleep better lol. But i would not recommend
p.s. if u do continue to smoke, eating a bowl of oatmeal every day and drinking LOTS of water are good ways to help keep ur milk supply up.
That is good for ur friend, but yes it is true. It doesn't mean u can't breast feed or will for sure dry up but the risk is much greater if ur smoking.
Not true^ my friend has been smoking since she gave birth, her baby is gonna be one this month & she has no problem w/ her breast milk..
Smoking reduces milk production, so if u keep smoking u might not be able to feed her for long.
I was a smoker before I was pregnant but I was told that the nicotine and stuff does affect your breast milk. I was going to start smoking again after I have my baby but if I'm breast feeding then I I'm not so sure. Hope this helps at all!
