I was supposed to go off to college this year, but since I found out I was pregnant, I deferred my scholarship and place to next year. I need to figure out what to do before I go off for 4+ years. Props to all the ladies who are doing it, though. :)
I'll be going on campus and also taking my daughter to daycare there. I'm due Christmas but if this baby comes early like my daughter did then I'd be taking exams. I'll be speaking with my professors though see what we can work with. I'm also taking 4 classes and ill be going EVERYDAY. I feel like I should take more classes now before baby is due. Definetly, not going to be absent, don't have that mentality because there shouldn't be a reason to be absent unless you're Definetly in need to. I'd think twice about going if I,were to be due during my class time. Idk how they work with u when you should be having maternity leave. Good luck, though ✌
You can do it... Just find a place to nap on campus and bring lots of snacks... If your school had lockers I recommend getting one... I went to school through my entire pregnancy and was a full time student.... Walk a lot and don't get lazy and you will find the energy... Good luck momma but you can totally do it.. Is easier now than it wilk be with a new born .
I was in college with my first, it was tough having motivation to go to class but I forced myself to get up and go. Professors are more understanding than we give them credit for so you definitely should let them know! Having a newborn during a semester isn't as hard as it sounds since they are sleeping a lot and you plan a study schedule.
In the end it's totally worth it! I'm so glad I stuck with it, I don't think I would've graduated if I'd taken a break from school. I'm happy to say after a long journey I graduated right before my sons 2nd birthday! You all can do it!
I'm starting college also but I'm only in my first trimester. I am taking 17 credit hours, I figured I'll try to get them done this so next semester I can take it easy
With my son i was on campus...not online...and delivered him the following month the semester ended. You will be just fine.
I'll be due next month and I start school next week. I'm only doing 2 online classes this semester so I can see how it will be with my twins and then next semester I'm picking up 4. I went back to school with my second born and it wasn't hard. Seeing as though this is twins I'm going to be delivering I wanted to test the waters with just 2 classes to start off. I also actually went to school the whole time I was pregnant with my son Good luck! You can do it!
I am still in my first trimester and am due in march and finish school in April. I haven't researched yet myself but my boyfriend said he looked a little bit about the rules of being pregnant in college and said he found that attendance is not an issue for somebody who is pregnant. Also you will be given extra time for exams or assignments if your due date conflicts. I have to meet with my college to see the exact regulations and this is in Canada so make sure you find out the exact rules for your school and country. Good luck! We can do this :) to stay motivate just keep telling yourself that the sacrifices you're making now are for the benefit of you and your baby! Just make sure you stay healthy and don't exhaust/stress yourself too much.
Man I forgot all about the commute. I catch the bus and my campus is about 45 minutes away but the bus is so slow! It only comes at the beginning and end of every hour so I have to wake up 2 hrs earlier to get to class on time. I'm pretty nervous but I'm going to email all my professors and let them know ASAP that I'm pregnant. Just in case you know? And I unfortunately I don't have the option of not going this semester. I got awarded grants and I could really use the money. Also, I can't imagine what it would be like to have a newborn and go to school @__@. Props to the ladies who a have due dates during fall. You guys are champs! I'm going to take ONE class in the spring (I'm due in March) and hopefully I won't regret it.
I was thinking about college but I wasn't sure if I should wait until the spring semester everybody says it's hard. And online classes would be even harder with a newborn. Good luck to you guys!
Yea this will be my second semester as well . I'm upset that I can't attend since school starts in September and I'm due in October
I'm in my 3rd trimester I'm due October 19th. I start on the 2nd of September. I'll be doing my classes online because my due is right in the middle.
I had about 5 classes. I had to drop my classes a few days ago. I'll never manage with the commute too exhausting. Also in my second tri. Plus my due date is the day we take our last exam lol I'm like nooooo can not do it
I will be starting school to && I am in my 2nd trimester taking 3 classes math comp 1 and biology. I don't know how I will get it done lol but I am going to no exceptions! !!
