Yeah I applied for it and he just signed the papers we went to court and he just had to show his last pay stub. I get it put right into my bank account so I don't need to talk to him about it because they take it right out of his checks

When my son was born in 2012, I fought for his sperm donor to pay child support. A year later he was summoned to pay it but has not made the first payment. He is a dead beat who has no job and lives with his mom and dad and he is 30 something years old. We got married when I was 18 and while I was pregnant I left him because I was scared for my son's safety because needless to say he couldn't keep his hands to himself. This year I was awarded my divorce as well as sole custody and care of my son. He hasn't tried to ever see him or send him anything. He doesn't care about that beautiful baby. One day he will pay for it!! Good luck!!

My mom had my dad on child support it definitely came in handy for school trips and things I wanted when my mom had to pay the bills ....

Its always a plus my father was barely around I would definitely say go for the child support you won't regret it ...

Yes, you have to work out the legalities of visitation and custody in court with child support.  Truth is, seems like a lot of men don't have an interest in being around their kid that much so it may not be an issue---  but if he's one that does and this will bother you (it would kill  me to be away from my kids)---  then that is something to think about.  I think, though, that every man has a moral responsibility to contribute to the support of their child.

I'm trying to put mine on it. To me it's worth it if you know your child's father wants to see his child but you don't want it to get out of hand. He use to take mine for a week or 2 n I realized that's too long so if I gotta put him on child support just to get a custody agreement, I will. I know in texas if he puts himself on child support there's a strong possibility he would b able to come get your child anytime. You never know
