cpr classes

Is it true you have to take a infant CPR class before you leave the hospital? I'm hoping that's true because I was never able to take one :/

Omg I didn't realize how close we live to each other!!!! I'm having my baby at Harris downtown and I've had two kids there and never had to take a class. But that could've changed I know if you have a preemie or a baby born with health issues you do have to.

I did one Saturday just to make sure i knew what to do if something happens. I don't know if you have babies r us where you live but if you do i would check with them. The class was $69 for 2 people.

In Michigan they have you watch infant safety and cpr/choking videos, but it's not an actual class, you just watch them on the tv in your room.

Not that I know of. At least not in the hospital where I had my daughter. But that was in Texas. You can call the hospital you're planning to have your baby at just to be sure though.
