My son was 8.6 when he was born. We spent five days in the hospital, (due to c section) and by the time we got home he had grown out of them. We still had half a pack left over that the hospital gave us. I say one pack of nb diapers and if any are left over, use them for nursing pads, that's my plan!
I bought a ton of size 1 thinking we wouldn't be in nb size for very long...my baby girl is 5 weeks and still in nb @ 8 1/2lbs!
After 3 boys and ending up giving away huge amounts of pampers I learned lol @ Angela the hospital will usually start u off with a box and if those work for baby then u can use ur gift card :)
I started stocking up but I only have a few nb and a few size 1. The gift card is a good idea but I like to have a little just to be prepared. I might end up exchanging all my nb cause it's looking like I'm having a huge baby lol we'll see. But, newbies tend to use 13 diapers a day in the first couple of months just keep that in mind
That's a really good idea tx22 I didn't want to stock up in case baby out grew them but with it being December my baby is due a bit worried about moneywith Christmas presents etc
I will be doing that :) x
I wouldn't suggest stocking up. I've seen plenty of times where girls stocked up and baby out grew them too quick but even worse when baby was allergic and they waisted all that money. An awesome idea is to buy a babies r us gift card and load money every payday so u can save up and not worry about spending it.
