How do you mommies feel about off brand (cheap) diapers ? All of my friends have told me they break their children out in rashes so they don't use them. A friend of mine actually gave me 2 full packs cause she can't use them and didn wanna throw them away . For my baby shower I would like to ask people too not get the off brand diapers only because it will be my luck to get 15 packs and my son won't be able to use them.  I don't want to seem like I'm "too good" for them so how do I come about this without sounding like a jerk to my family and friends.

Luvs is a really good brand you wont regret it

I couldn't use off brand diapers with my son he broke out in a horrible rash. So I returned the ones I could and when I got preggo with my daughter I bought all my own diapers I only use pampers.

I did my girls in huggies or pampers up to 3 months...then i changed them to parents choice and they were great. I made the mistake to change them to luvs all the sudden and it was the worst mistake ever!  They were peeling and bleeding down there. But every child is different. Just wait and see how your baby reacts.

I can't use publix brand with my daughter. Winn Dixie brand used to work but she started breaking out. But now I use either Huggies or Family Dollar diapers.

Costco brand, kirkland, works really well for my son. They're made by huggies, so they're good quality but cheaper.

I told my mom to tell my best friend who is doing my shower I found out by mistake lol to simply ask for no diapers. Pampers swaddlers are c the only diapers I like and most gave my son Horribleble rashes so im just song for none lol I cloth diaper anyways so don't really care.

I feel exactly what you said lol cheap. And yes that true in my child's case can't use, any off brand target luvs etc all make their tushies bright red target so bad that his skin was peeling! :-( I love pampers swaddlers! :-) but now I mainly only use cloth diapers to avoid issues, all together :-)

Any brand of nappy can give your bub nappy rash, just because one brand has done it for your friends bub does not mean your lo will have the same issue. All you can do is try them and see. Maybe just the try the ones you have been given and decide on a brand later. I personally use huggies and haven't had an issue. Best of luck

I started my son with Huggies. But for the past month I've used parents choice and he's started getting really sore. I personally just don't like the way they hang down low even if he's just peed once or twice. Specially since hes moving around more and learning to walk. His inner thigh areas gets really sore. I even used Kirkland ones and those were fine all alone. So its between Huggies and Kirkland for my babies. But I know all kids are different .

Most places like Walmart let you return/ exchange or refund and no receipt they put it on a gift card..at least Walmart in my area is lenient on returns like diapers

i brought luvs for my 2year old and she only broke out when i tried changing her from luvsto parents choice i guess you have to start them off with it so they can get use to it.

I do pampers because thats what my hospital used,in the nicu, depwnds on baby really, but pampers work for us

Anymore you can take them to Walmart or meijer and a lot of the time they will let you exchange packs for different ones. But how do you know your baby will break out I'd say wait till after baby's here to decide what brand you want because it could happen that they break put to brand names and not off brand then your stuck with a bunch of brand name diapers. If your that worried about it wait till after baby comes to have your baby shower that way you'll have an idea of what happens when they are diapered. Or you could cloth diaper if its a big concernbas well.

My daughter wears parents choice. .. They work better than huggies. Pampers worked okay for my daughter. Brand name doesn't mean they're going to work better.  You just have to try and see what works best.

You can take unopened diapers and exchange them. So you don't have to worry too much. Which diapers you end up sticking with will depend on the babies shape.  My daughter was a chunk with use legs so she had to have pampers.

I think that's what I'll do just ask for like pampers Huggies and luvs. Those are the kind I have now. By like off brand I ment like kroger brand and the parents choice (those are the two most I've herd breaks their children out). I don't care if I get diapers or not but in my family with all our baby showers that's usually what we get the most of is diapers and clothes.

I used to buy parents choice as well , they are affordable & my daughter never broke out from them . I honestly could care less about a brand .

Maybe instead of saying you don't want off brand choose a specific brand you want and ask them to just get you that brand. It's what I did. I choose Huggies  natural care and told everyone that's what I wanted in case my baby has sensitive skin like me and that's what they gave me.

I only use off brand diapers. My 3 year old breaks out from huggie pull ups. To me and some of my friend they work the best. My oldest when he was newborn would pee threw a pamper or huggie in less the an hour. I buy the walmart brand parents choice. I love them and they cost alot less.

Well I know personally my brosther and I could only use huggies everything else would make us get rashes. And ive only bought huggies for my son. But my sister in law uses Luvs which is the walmart brand I belive because her daughter would get rashes with pampers and huggies.

Well itd be hard, I asked for fiapers and got a bunch of pampers , I plan to use them but dont know how babys skin will react. Then maybe dont ask for diapers,  and if you do ask the ppl youre close with so you can be like hey no cheap branded diapers.
