What are your experiences?

Went to the doctor last Wednesday and he said I'm 2 cm dilated. He was surprised cuz I haven't felt any contractions. I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant. Wondering what your experiences are with labor?

Labor with my first was something else.
Woke up at 12am in excruciating pain, hopped in the shower thinking it would help with pain. It did but once I got out it was awful.
I sat on the edge of my bed and my boyfriend shot up and asked what was wrong. And ambulance was called and I was rushed out.
Riding in an ambulance was absolute hell. The worst experience of my life.
We got to the hospital and they got me in a wheelchair. I SCREAMED through the hallways. When I got up to L&D the nurse(?) said he was about to end his shift but heard me screaming, so he came up quick and asked if I wanted and epidural. Hell yes I did!
Got it, and slept. Pain was gone, until I woke up. They checked and I was at a 10 in so much pain. The epidural had stopped working for me.
I felt every little rip, every tear, the ring of fire, etc.
WORST FEELING EVER.
I was so close to giving up at one point, until the doc delivering mentioned something to the nurse about a vacuum.
Then I pulled through and got my daughter out.

All in all, not exactly looking forward to labor with this baby. Hoping the epidural will work this time lol.
