I invited them but only about 5 came. Some didnt like the idea of being a man at a baby shower & didn't show up. But those who did come had fun we played games
I plan to my boyfriend only has men in his family and I dont want to exclude them plus I think he is more excited about the shower than I am
I didn't invite the guys to mine, because that's tradition in my family. Plus I think the women are more fun when they guys aren't there. Most of the guys in my friends & family would be pretty boring to have there & the women really get in to the games & conversations when the boys aren't there. Although my hubby will be there to help open gifts & thank everyone, but the party part is just for the girls :) But I think it's great if the guys you know would want to come & have fun with it.
I think it's a great thing to do with men. You won't have the really frank childbirth stories going on, and maybe that's a good thing.
I've certainly been to showers with men and women, 25 years ago - so it's not really new. It's just a matter of preference.
Have fun!
I look at it this way, its my husbands baby too, so he will def be there! My mother in law said "its not really a place/thing for guys" but I don't care. My dad will be there, my husband, my brother, brother in laws, nephews, etc.
I only invited my two best guy friends because they're excited and wanted to come lol and of course my boyfriend.
my brother in law and his girlfriend had a co-ed shower, but we won't at mine. Too many women in our family and including friends it would be overwhelming.
Yes, guys and girls a celebration! The guys can hang out in the back yard drink beer play horshoes while we play games inside and drink juice from baby bottles lol
If I didn't have men I would have like 5 girls there lol. Most of my friends are guys.
I had men at my baby shower. Had a specific game just for the men to participate in and they were the life of the party and had sooooo much fun!!! A baby shower would be nothing without the men. It's a celebration for the baby after it all said and done, why not have them there!
I recently went to my cousin-in-law baby shower there was a couple guys I don't see anything wrong with that!!! I plan on having my hubby at our baby shower ya kno its not only my baby
Yes I invited men as well to the fact I have 6 uncles lol
There's ganna be guys at mine
I think I invited more guys than girls lol
I think it is because the new thing. I invited men to my cousins baby shower and im inviting men to my baby shower. :) I thought it was fin with everyone.
@jayden that's what I was thinking too. It's a big celebration, I don't see why the father and other male friends/family members shouldnt be there to celebrate.
I am n we r doin games. Cuz i dont want my bf to be the only man in the baby shower
I'm going to Im going to have my fiance there to I think it will be fun for him to be there mad enjoy getting to see what we get for the baby and visit with family and friends.
I did with my first! I didn't have a shower this time! My son is a week old now and we have way more then we will ever use! Lol
I did at mine. We didnt do any games either. It was in my opinion more relaxed
