I just got attacked while out on a walk, a kid, 16 yrs
old maybe, definitey had some sort of mental problems, ran up to me & started punching my face & head & trying to knock me down. I don't think he hit my stomach but I'm so worried, baby started moving a few minutes ago finally but my stomach feels so sore (so does my head!) Why would this happen to me? I'm 39 weeks pregnant! I was just walking, trying to get my baby to come soon.

Oh my goodness, that's terrible!! I hope you and baby are okay. It's terrible that the kids parents aren't trying to help him more but maybe you pressing charges will get him the help he obviously needs. Mentally handicapped or not, beating someone up for no reason is wrong. I really really hope that nothing bad happens to you or baby.

I have a mental brother that treats our family so poorly, but my parents never do anything with the problems he is creating. So if that was my brother I'd gladly accept the help the police are going to give him. It doesn't matter if my brother was mental or not, I'd admit he needs help. So yes if i was you, charge him!!!! Who gives a crap if he's mental!!!! He's still human!

I'm sorry I've worked with mentally challenged kids, yes there mind state is comprimised and there thinking amd decision capabilities are not the same as ours very understandable . I agree bashing him will not help him but honestly depending on his disability he can still determine right from wrong in some situations . His parents should of been there . But they weren't and this wasn't his first time doing it so there is an issue at hand . I'm sorry this happened to you I think you should go to the hospital get checked out and make sure everything is okay with you amd baby .

Well I would be worried about taking my baby on walks.  His parents should be helping him and not letting him run out like that. Hopefully he gets the help he needs because you shouldn't be afraid to go outside. No one should live in fear

Press the charges! OMG this is horrible. Please go.to the emergency room and get checked out. Hospital papers will hold in court as well. I'm sorry this happened. the parent need to seriously do something about this child. Not good or acceptable for anyone to do this to anyone a pregnant woman at that!

The cops say this isn't the first time he's done something like this but his guardians won't get him help & that if I press charges he will have to get the help he needs, so I am. I felt bad about wanting to until they assured me he will be getting the proper care

His parents should have been there for sure but if he is handicapped the last thing he needs is jail. What if your child had a mental disorder and had an outburst so someone decided to lock him up? Call the police. Find the kid. Attacking a preggo is a felony offense not a misdemeanor. Go to the hospital and make sure you and baby are okay

Omg Im so sorry this happened to you. Please go to the emergency room just to be on the safe side. I hope your pain eases soon and I hope that kid gets some help while locked up smh
