So my partner and I have been together 5 years this year, and we are expecting oyr first baby in August, and we are both 18 years old. So lately we have been talking about getting married, not because we are expecting but because that is what we want together, to show our family and friends just how much we love each other, and share this experience with them.
This morning (the day before valentines day here in australia) my partner suggested we go for a walk to a local lookout that overlooks the entire town we live in. We reached the top and took in the sights before my partner told me he loved me, and got onto one knee.
Love comes at any age and I know there is a lot of negativity about young people having children and getting married, but honestly, you are as mature and ready for these things as you let yourself be. We are so happy, we love each other, we love our bub to be, and we fully support ourselves in our own jobs and in our own home. I just wanted to share this with everyone and say congratulations to all the new mummies, mummies to be and everyone whether single, engaged or married.. life is hard but sometimes we are suprised by beautiful and amazing things that make everything worth it. As long as your are happy and healthy thats all that matters.
