help please!
I'm so pissed and stressed. I may be over reacting but this is a big issue for me. I got lice from my friends daughter and I have no idea what to do its Sunday Dr.s are closed I can't use over the counter because of the chemicals... Home remedies I don't trust it will fully work... All I want to do is cry and shave all my hair off so frustrated and embarrassed.

The mayonnaise works.. it suffocates the lice and kills them... seriously just put a thick coat of mayo in your hair put a shower cap on and leave it on over night rinse and comb through your hair.
My daughter got them and all that got rid of hers was vinager and baby oil and picking and combing but my little cousin come over with them and I mayonnaised him up and got rid of them in ten min it worked great.
My mom used to use a laundry sope the one with thr baby blue bag and the baby seal in the front wen my cousen gave my whole family lice it workes kills them but u also have to comb it out eith that comb every one mentioned
If ur out of your first trimester you could always dye your hair at home. There's just enough chemicals to kill most if not all of the lice and the eggs but u'll still wanna comb ur hair out after to be sure. I got lice a few times in high school and dyeing my hair worked every time but make sure to wash everything in ur house and spray everything down.
when I was little n had them it got really bad n my mom didn't want to sit there n brush it out so she would just shave my head...I had to wear a hat to school for first n second grade cuz she did it twice...my dad was the one that sat there for hours brushing them out n washing my hair...it is a pain to get out...
Honestly as gross as this may sound ..when me and my sister were younger we got it from a girl in my class and NOTHING worked except one thing. here's the gross part ! we slept one night with mayonnaise in our hair with a shower cap on. washed it out the next morning and they were gone. Worst experience ever, I can't eat mayo anymore lol but it worked !
Please try not stress about this. It can be easily solved. I got lice from my partners little boy. Yes you are right you cant use any over the counter products what would usually get rid of them. But dont worry you can use tea tree oil it worked 4 me and made my hair smell great after using it unlike vinegar. Just apply the tea tree oil to your scalp and rub in leave for about 15mins or more if you like then use a nit comb which you can buy from the chemist and section your hair in small sections an comb through your hair. Each time you comb throught use tissue or kitchen roll to wipe away what's on the comb. I use to squash the nits/eggs so I knew they where dead. Just keep doing that until you have done all your hair. I would advise doing this every day for a week. Once you have finished going through your hair just wash off and use your regular shampoo an conditioner. I found it to be frustrating when I relised I had them and embarrassing but it cant be helped and its easily solved so try not worry to much. Just to be on the safe side id check again after you have done the weeks worth of tea tree treatment say maybe 3days after the week just to give you Pease of mind and you know they have gone
I know how u feel my step daughter brings livce into my house everytime she comes over... Babyoil will smother them... Get a metallice comb, and everytime u wash ur hair comb thru it with the comb. It takes a couple times but it works.
The only thing I've ever used, and my mum used to use on us as kids also is white vinegar in the last rinse... Also go buy a nit comb and once washed conditioned(as the lice find it hard to cling to), rinsed with vinegar, run the head lice comb through you're hair. Get someone else to do it if you can and have a white towel around your shoulders in case any try getting away. The vinegar usually kills them though, but not the eggs so you'll have to do this over a few days... Good luck!
My mother called a few and they said no... I'm stuck I feel so gross. My mom is going to use rubbing alcohol but ive been searching online and it doesn't seem to be fully affective
