Juiceboxxxhero is right. Being cut takes a lot longer to heal because its always a 3rd degree cut. In addition it holds the danger of getting cut too deeply and having permanent damage done to the kegal muscles. Rips heal faster because they are never as deep as a cut.

I was told by my Dr. That a rip takes longer to heal that's y I said that but I guess every Dr. Has their own opinion and not every opinion can be right but then again it also depends on the person and how quickly that person heals.

Rips do not take longer to heal! They are not as deep as a cut and take less time. I ripped front to back with my first and was able to have sex at 7 weeks Pp. My second I tore bad but was able to have sex at around 3 weeks without it being too painful. Don't let them cut you. A natural rip is much better than a cut. And you will heal way faster.

it all depends, its taken me about 3 or 4 weeks with all mine.  I only had small tears, and a few stitches.  My first broke my tailbone though and that took about 6 months to heal.

Depends on the labor. I had a small tear and was having sex 2 weeks after birth. Some women tear from one hole to the other and it could take months to heal. Just listen to your doctor and follow his/her guidelines.

I was back to normal and was able to have sex with no pain 4 weeks after delivery. Most Dr.s won't let you rip down there bc a rip takes longer to heal than a cut. My Dr. Cut me with my daughter and put in the stitches that dissolve and they were gone in 2 weeks. What hurt the most for me was the hemmroids sorry I know tmi but its true they are horrible after you deliver but all in all labor and delivery isn't that had at all! I'm now 19 and 30 weeks with my son and I'm so excited and can't wait for labor to come!
