how accurate is a due date???

hi , this is charish. we share the same due date i am just curious to know your conception date. i am struggling trying to figure mine out & how accurate are due dates? I am very embarrassed to say this but I was with my ex boyfriend daily the first week of November until November 7th (while I was on my period) . I was back with my current boyfriend November 7th (evening) until now. I tested positive on 12-10 and had my first US. It said I was 5 wks and 3 days. I did not know the first or last day of my period. I had a second US on 12-17 which said i was 6 wks 0 days. the baby measured 3 mm with a heart rate of 111 bpm. I am just really scared this could be my ex's baby which would be a nightmare. I can't believe I am in this situation. My current boyfriend really wants it to be his and I do as well. Are due dates and US really accurate? Do you think it is leaning more towards my boyfriends baby? PLEASE RESPOND! Thank You, Charish

If you were on your period Nov 7th, I would figure that you O'd around the 21st of Nov. At least most woman do around 14 days after their period. So that would mean your current boyfriend is the father.
However if you ovulated earlier then the 21st say around the 10 of Nov or so then it is possible that your ex could be the father because sperm can live up to 7 days inside of you.

I know this probably doesn't help much...

You can do a aminocentiscis (sp?) to test the partanity of the child. However this does comes at great risk to the fetus.

I agree with the others. It is most likely your boyfriend's, but with the dates so close together the only way to know 100% is to take a DNA test.

It is most likely that you would have ovulated sometime around the middle of November, which would make your current boyfriend more likely to be the father.  However, since these dates are so close together, you may need to get a DNA test to confirm.

It's hard to tell and I'm sorry to say that you'll have to do a paternity test. Especially since you can't remember the dates of your last period. There is a chance it's your current boyfriends b/c you would have been with him during your last ovulation phase...I hope it helps but as I said, you'll have to do a paternity test. Good Luck!
