leg cramps

I swear so far my leg cramping has been the worst part of being pregnant. The pain starts up in my thigh, and even with the stretching thing I can't make it go away. Its seriously the worst pain ever. Can't walk on it, can't even lie down without the pain cutting through me. I've tried several things, cold/warm compress, massage, but nothing seems to make it go away until its good and ready. For the most part the pain remains in my thigh, but once in a while switches to my knee. I don't know if its just the weather, the baby, or me being on it too much but ow!! Anyone else get this??

I'm in week 33 btw

Ask your dr for a prescription for something stronger when you are in there next time. The hospital gave me a Vicodin when I was in there but unfortunately I threw it up because I took it on an empty stomach.. Hooligan nurse didnt ask if I had anything to eat.. OOPS! But my sister took that during her pregnancy too so I am sure its one of the safe ones to take while pregnant.

I get them in my calves and I've been told it's from lack of potassium (?). Someone suggested eating bananas. I have been eating them and haven't had a cramp since (knock on wood!)

Yeah the stretching doesn't help at all and Tylenol has zero effect on me. Idk why its just always been that way. I wish I could say it had only happened once, but I've had several occasions of this ><

I had that happen to me at 23 weeks and went to the er because I had been up literally all night long. It was my entire leg though from toes to groin and it was moving all around. Nothing would help the pain. You can take tylonol for it though. Thats what I did and it took the edge off until it finally went away on its own. But seriously I tried warm/cold, massage, stretching, walking, sitting, laying down, elevating it, a bath.... It lasted about 12 hours. Thankfully it was only that 1 time but that was enough for my whole pregnancy!! :) Hope you feel better soon.

I'm 30 weeks and I get them in my calves. They don't go away until I stretch my toes up towards my knee. That's the only thing that helps me.
