water birth...orrrrrrr ???

So I have been doing SO much research, and I'm not going to lie, im totally scared now and I wasn't before lol. First time mommy and I'm 22 (23 before I have my baby) and right now I'm 7wks & 5dys :) ... Anywho, I'm obsessed with the ocean and water and thought itd be great doing a water birth. I watched some videos online and now a water birth just scares me lol. Does anyone have any advice on a c-section ?? Only thing with that is I work out a lot and lift and I heard it messes up your stomach muscles and makes it harder for you to heal. Then I was reading about natural births with an epidural (which I would most definitely get) but I've heard a lot of people rip open. And my friend said it was all fine except for when they sewed her back up and there was no numbing or pain reliever for when they were sewing her up and that terrifies me !  Does anyone just have some tips or advice or just an experience they could share with me. Thank you :)

Water births are peaceful and amazing but they don't work for everyone. I spent a couple hours in the birthing tub while laboring with my son but just couldn't get comfortable and started getting really cold so I got out :-( but proceeded with a natural birth, completely med-free (so I have no personal experience to share about epidurals).
Tearing and episiotomies do happen but they don't happen to everyone - my baby was nine pounds and I'm a small person but didn't tear - being prepared by doing lots of perineal massage and staying active helps a lot. In my personal opinion actually (I haven't seen any studies that directly back this up but having heard many many many birth stories it seems to have some sort of correlation) one of the really important things to consider is positioning during delivery. It's easiest for a doctor if you're laying on your back with your feet up in stirrups when you deliver, but that's the hardest possible position for you to do it in. Gravity is working against you as baby needs to lift up OVER your perineum having dropped below it coming through the pelvis, and so many women tear in that position. I personally delivered on my hands and knees - it was the only way I could be anything resembling comfortable - and it worked out very well. A squatting position works well too, for a lot of women - your legs have gotta be strong but gravity works really well with you that way!
C-sections are major surgery and have a recovery time that can be twice as long as vaginal delivery, or even more. Unless you have significant complications I would absolutely advise against it if at all possible.
You have lots of time to figure out what will work best for you. You'll figure it out. Congratulations, and good luck!

If they really have to. But your less likely to tear in water. Maybe you ahould watch more water births? I watched onea that were done in home birth and at birthing centers, so maybe look them up. I am having a home water birth. I want to do whatever I can not to tear lol. Gonna do the message think too when I can.

I'm really leaning towards wanting a water birth. And the massage she's talking about is called a perineal massage look it up.  Try watching a video on youtube called "the business of being born"

I'm not sure it just looked really scary online. Do they still sew you up if you tear when a water birth is done ?

Why does a water birth scare you?  I watched some and they are so calm. Btw water births help with tearing, there is also a massage you can do down there when your 36 weeks that also helps.
