baby shower date?

Hey ladies, so I was wondering what you thought.  I am currently 25weeks and I want to have my baby shower at 30W so i have time To prepare since it will be my first baby and the date is December 14 do you think because of holidays ppl will be to busy and not show?

I am having mine on Nov 23. I will be 30 weeks, i did it that way because i did not want to do it in december because of the holidays. I also did not want to wait until Jan even tho i am due jan 29 because both my kids came early so if this one comes early that would put me around jan 16.

Wow congrates!! :) I'm 25+2 as well and that's the exact date I think I'm leaning towards Jan 11th, I agree its only a few more short weeks until due date but I also wana make sure ppl can come so I'm not too worried :)

I just had mine and i was 33+1, that was Sat.  I actually got pretty much everything i need, just need more diapers and wipes but doing a diaper raffle helped. If you do it before the holidays or after it gives people more time to get the things you need.

I'm 25+2 and wanted to have my shower Nov 30th but my bf side of the family said it was to soon and to close to the holidays and if I did it then they wouldnt be able to come... So I'm now waiting till Jan 11th to have it.. which ***** because I will be 34 weeks and it only leaves me 5 weeks to get every thing else I need and to get it together

There are also many birthday in Jan for me and my little brother is coming home from the army so I want to spend as much time as I can with him while he's here but also think gota would be cool to have him at my baby shower. Thanks everyone for your thoughts I will think on this one good! I just want everything to for right.

I'm actually 28w 2 days and having mine this coming Sunday (kinda early), I will be 29w 1 day decided to have it early bc there is a lot of family events including birthdays and with the holidays coming up I wanted to make sure people would at least try to come.  I'm scheduled for a c-section at 39 weeks so I am trying to give myself time to get the rest of what I need as well. This is my 3rd but my next youngest is 6 so I don't have any baby stuff left over from my other 2.

Im n the same boat as u but a lil further along at 27 i was debating myself bcuz of the holidays im waiting til med January so it gives folks a chance to a paycheck or two after Christmas

Personally I would wait till after holidays or do it before holidays cuz that's a tough time for everyone and you throwing in another event which is kinda more important would take a toll on everyone. So to be on safe side I wouldn't go with December but it's whatever you want, it's your party :)
