Also I would like to add you ladies as friends but don't know how so how do you do that
Thank you so much ladies this was very helpful ..... Its so much we have to do as moms...... I will deff have to make a checklist..... I find out the sex of the baby march 6 soooo maybe after that I will start .. I wish you all good luck too im glad I found this app for my phone and I can relate to you guys
You should decide when to start purchasing items and what those items should be. Me, personally, I would already have bought several cute outfits if I knew the sex of my child. I've already seen an Nike outfit.. Lol. Make sure you have all your basic hair care, tolietries, and a pretty gown/robe. If you're going to breast feed, make sure the gown unbuttons in the front. Make sure you have some socks or slippers for your feet when you have to get out of bed to shower. If your room has a private bath/shower, take some flip flops or shower shoes to wear in the shower. I hope all goes well and you have a healthy baby.
Oh! Just remember the closer to the hospital you live the less you have to bring :-) someone can easily run to your house and grab if need be. But if you're like me have have to deliver 2 hours from home (my first pregnancy I was 15 mins from home) you may want to pack more just in case. Like snacks, vending machine money, some people bring laptops (most hospitals have open wi fi for guests), drinks, just whatever makes YOU comfortable :-)
You really don't need a whole lot when you go to the hospital.... But my must haves are:
My own pillow, hospital pillows are plastic for easy cleaning and get very hot and uncomfortable.
If you wear contacts, everything to take care of them and your glasses
Comfy clothes/gown for after delivery... And don't let the daddy forget extra clothes or,pjs too
Phone of course.:-)
A camera and or video camera.
Hair ties!!
Thats really all the essentials. The hospital can provide toothbrush/paste/shampoo/soap but you can of course bring your own :-)
And I brought some makeup for the day after delivery just too feel pretty lol not often you lose about 10 pant sizes in a few hours lol
I'm personally not going to buy anything until after the baby shower, that way I know what all I need. You can start buying things whenever you want to. It's a personal decision.
I can't help with what to take to the hospital. This is my first baby.
