Yes, those are the pacifiers - I had them for DS and they worked really well! I will use them again with this baby...

yes, Willow, those are the soothies. The pacifiers don't look like much but I found them to be the best :)

Are soothie bottles the ones that are like the pacifiers they give you at the hospital? Like the big round green/blue ones?!

I Agree about the huggies wipes, they're thicker and that's totally vital with those big messes...I still loved the soothie bottles, they were the absolute heaven-send for me with my daughter. I started out breastfeeding, but ended up having to switch to bottle feeding near the end of her first month because of low milk supply (i lost so much blood during delivery that I was never able to build up a good supply apparently). If you end up pumping and using bottles with breastmilk you can always transfer it to whatever bottle brand you like, and just store it in those little plastic breastmilk bags, or store it in the bottles that come with the pump.

I used the soothie bottles and won't be using them this time around. DS basically had all the milk go down his chin. I switched to playtex vent-aire and I will be using them again this time around. DS could only use Huggies brand diapers due to his skin sensitivity, and I hated the Pampers wipes. They seem really thin - Huggies wipes are very thick and sturdy which is nice for dirty dirty diapers lol! As far as everything else, I completely agree  :-)

1. When do baby showers normal happen?..like how far along?     Around 6-8 months along
2. Where do ya'll think is the best place to register?   BabiesRUs and one other place like Walmart or Target for people who don't have a BRU near them
3. When is it okay to start making your registry?   When you know the gender; if you're finding out
4. What do ya'll think are the best brands for bottles & diapers?    Avent and Huggies BUT you want Pampers Sensitive wipes (hands down the best wipes)
5. What stuff do you think shouldnt go on the registry (& you should buy yourself) if any?  Put everything on there except for furniture and nursery decor

Im gonna nurse but mostly pump, so I'll need bottles for that right? Do you have to use the brand of your pump or just whatever works best?

Well I'm not starting bottle feeding. I know you don't know what's best for your baby. That's why they call it trial and error. This is my first baby, too. We have two drop-in bottles. Just because one bottle works for someone else, doesn't mean it will for you.

i did start my daughter with the playtex drop-ins (4oz) because they're very light and easy to take care of when you're sleep deprived...but I switched to the soothies after about a month of the drop-ins and I was MUCH happier with the soothies, plus the soothie pacifiers are awesome.

1. I was 36 weeks on the dot, which is 9 months.

2. I registered mainly at Babies R Us, and had a few things at Target.

3. Make your registry whenever you want. :) I started in September and had my shower in November.

4. Use whatever works best for your baby.

5. Pick out whatever you want! :D

The amount of people depends on the size of the place you're having it. I invited something close to 55 people, but most of them were out of state and we ended up having about 22 people in the house. :)

That does help :) Thank you! Also I was wondering how many ppl is it okay to invite? My bf's mom keeps asking for a list & we are going to have it be a shower where both our friends, boys & girls come, so there is kinda of a lot of ppl..is that rude?

1. after the 7-month-mark, traditionally.

2. Target,Burlington Coat Factory (Baby), and Babies R Us

3. Now! Always start early...you can add, subtract, whatever.

4. Soothie bottles <3 complete life saver (some of them have what's called a "colic straw"(like Dr.Browns but cheaper) and it funnels air up away from the nipple to reduce gas).....and the diapers depend on your budget and the baby's skin sensitivity. My baby pees like she's hooked up to a hose so we have to use huggies to keep her from getting rashy...they're not really that much more than the other brands, however, Pampers Swaddlers were FANTASTIC when she was a newborn.

5. It's okay to put pretty much everything on the registry, but if you want to pick something out yourself just make sure to indicate to the person organizing the shower for you that you've already bought it or chosen it (like a crib or bassinet). Wait to buy most things until after the shower...you'll probably get most of the necessities, and that'll still give you a month (or two or three, depending on when your shower is) to buy the few things you have left to buy. You should definitely buy a stuffed animal and an outfit (or 10, LOL) because those mommy nesting instincts will drive you crazy if you don't buy SOMEthing.

:) hope this helps
