Any type of smoke deprives your baby of oxygen. Obviously cig smoke is the worst, but id keep that in mind.
It will effect your drug test. My husband smokes and for a long time did it around me. I asked my nurse if it would have any effects on the drug test that they give you after your baby is born (Yes they drug test you even if you are in a state where marijuana is legal) and she told me that you can fail from secondhand smoke which would lead to a social worker talking to you and testing your Husband followed by a CPS case where they can take your baby away. I highly suggest if you want to take you baby home to tell your man to smoke outside or somewhere else. One wiff of the weed smoke and it can play into your test.
If you are concerned or dont believe me, contact your Doctor. Lots of luck to you!
It won't hurt your baby but second hand smoke will be in yours and your baby's system. I used to smoke too with my husband but we both quit for baby because some women have been lucky and it hasn't affected them but some have had problems. So just to be safe I would ask your man to not do it around you. When they say you have to make sacrifices for your baby unfortunately this is one of those things you just shouldn't risk. It's not worth complications with baby. My husband is 34 years old and has been smoking since he was 15 and I couldn't believe he quit cold turkey not only for baby but me also :) it made everything less stressful and one less thing to worry about.
