No baby talking, constantly interact with them, and reading. I would walk my son around at 3 months telling him about paintings on our wall. A lot of people will disagree with me on this, but I also started him early watching Nick Jr and early education shows at 6 months. I believe those shows have improved his attention span. He is almost 3, and has been talking in full sentences since he was 16 months, and been pottied train since his 2nd birthday. He also speaking words as early as two months old. I did notice a slight setback in his learning when we put him in a daycare, but once we switched daycares, he took off again.
Cool... Thanx imma do all i can to have a smarter bby, because im having a boy, and for some reason it seem that a grl is way smarter than boys.. i have actually seen it with my friends kids
ive done alot of research on the internet because i wanna start young as my grandparents did with me and i was in accelerated classes all my life.
as far as in the womb, i had heard that classical music and talking to baby stimulates her mind. the research shows that the classical music really does nothing. people say that actually based on an experiment that showed that college students that listened to classical music before an exam fared better than those that didnt, and just kinda assumed it worked for babies as well.
as far as once baby is born, the best thing i can find to do is when you talk to baby, elaborate on everything. ex- im going to put your blue shoes on your feet today. and if you use a kind of singsong voice, it catches their attention more. i used my best friends little boy as a guinea pig, as i watched him everyday, and i saw a huuuge improvement in his vocab in a short time.
hope this helps some! still trying to master how to teach baby sign language before my lil girl arrives!
Imma try everything, because i want to start while he in my tummy!
@Ldkalleck i totally agree with not talking to them with the baby talk.
Start with basics. With my daughter I started teaching her things like her colors and such before she could really talk. She's 4 now, hasn't started any form of school, and is already doing things at a 1st grade level including reading. And yes definitely read to your little one, and encourage him from the start while also making it fun for him! Fun is always the key for a toddler!
Ugh
All I've done is talk to her and answer her every question.
I have a super intelligent 3 year old, and I truly believe that, for the most part it's because we never used baby talk, always answered her questions, however silly, and just talk to her a ton in general. We have heard, since she was 18 months, how developed her vocabulary is, and I seriously feel like its been effortless because all I've Dunne is
They say classical music helps
Let babe listen to music, talk to him when you PR.daddy talk to.him let him.know, this is mamma or this is daddy and so.forth.
