So I just found out my nana is in the hospital and may not make it. We are waiting on the call. My question is she lives 4 hours away. I am only 4 days from my due date. What happens if I go into labor and can't get to my hospital?

I didn't do any of that though bc it was so unexpected but there weren't any problems.

I ended up delivering my first at a hospital from where I intended in another state. It was absolutely no problem for them to get my info, and if course I was able to tell things like being rh negative and all that, so it's really not that much of an issue to deliver at another hospital so I don't think you should refrain from seeing your nana just bc of that. A good idea would be to go ahead and give both hospitals and your doctor a heads up, that way they can go ahead and fax all your info over in case it's needed.

It sounds like its very important to you that you see your nana...if it was me i would go and just plan on the posibility of having your bany at another hospital. Although, i will say that with my first baby, i went into labor around 1pm and contractions were pretty far apart but i knew it was the real deal. I ended up going shopping at a mall over an hour away from my hospital and just when they started getting closer i went home. I didnt even have my baby till 1pm the next day. So theres always the possibility of still heading home and if you need to stop at a hospital on the drive home then that might be okay. Of course every pregnancy is different.
