ultrasound

For all of you who have normal drs that dont do an ultrasound almost every visit and they do just the normal first one then big one at 20 weeks, do they normally give another before baby is born. I am 32 weeks.  I know i did with my son but that was only bc i ran a fever for a month and they couldnt figure out why and wanted to check everything. And cant remember if they did just a reg rutein one or not

My doctor only told me I was goin' to have one (20w Anatomy Scan) and that's It, unless your a high risk or they find a complication. So I actually had two since I have Marginal Cord Insertion and even though I still have It, I'm not gettin' any more. It s*cks.

My dr told me I'd have one at 34 weeks n when I went in she said they weren't doing another one. I was furious. With my last 3 I always had another anatomy scan to check fluid. Size. Direction of baby etc. but not this time. Nd thing being is I've already had some issues so I figured they'd be extra cautious nd do another one. But this dr is different than my others n I'm not really fond of him hence why I've seen his nurse practitioners. I've actually spoken to my dr once. At 20 weeks after ultrasound.

A lot of times this is insurance-related.  Some health insurance pays for more ultrasounds than others does.

Mine doesnt do one unless there is a problem or if they think baby is bigger than normal...19-20 weeks was the last one just to make sure everything was ok and get the gender.
