I think it would be best to go buy a home pregnancy test to use now. You don't have to wait for the doctor's appointment, so you'll find out sooner. Also, just use this as a learning lesson. That next time you sleep with a man, you use protection. Take the test and go from there...
I've never been pregnant, (I'm a man) but I can tell you this... there are a lot of things worse than a pregnancy! How you handle this situation will prove your character, and you do have numerous options out there that I am sure God is okay with.
Take a deep breath, take a good look at your situation, take a preg test like the ladies above mentioned, contact this gentleman and inform him of the situation, make your plans and then move forward.
You are okay, and you'll be okay. I personally believe things happen for a reason, and perhaps there is a lesson to be learned here, I am not for sure. Obviously, your health is a concern and any decision should be with your health and the health of a developing baby in mind.
We all make mistakes and you did not fail God. You may have failed your own convicitons and beliefs but He loves you no matter what. Now being in ministry, if you are pregnant they may ask you to step down and that is understandable. But you will need to cross that bridge when you come to it, Take a test, and take it from there, and if you are then focus on this child, Allow something good to come from an otherwise not so good situation.
You will only fail God if you do not make intelligent decisions given what you face, and learn from what happened (and happens).
Do you think the best ministers are the ones who have perfect lives and have never acted against what they preach? Or are they the ones who have erred and learned why even the best-intended people sometimes act against what they believe, and have taken this to heart? A minister who is perfect all the time will not know from his or her own experience what others who are mere mortals go through, and even more important, will not be able to assure the imperfect that that they can get through their problems and have a productive life.
Hi. Well, this is one of those hard times in life full of worry and angst. I'd say at this point you can buy a simple test at any drug store or grocery store and get your answer. You could know today and be close to 100% accurate. So, go get that test.
If you are, you can make plans for what to do with marriage to the father, single mother, or adoption all as viable options.
I'm surprised that with the fear of repurcussions of an unplanned pregnancy you two didn't use birth control. In the future, make this mandatory.
good luck and go that that simple, inexpensive, readily available and quite accurate pregnancy test.
