I agree, it sounds like your idea will be a BIG hit with her. She will remember that moment forever, and it's so nice that you've gone to so much trouble thinking through all of the little details! I also want to hear the outcome, please come back and tell us how it all went!
I love my hubby dearly, but his proposal was less than exciting. I love Red Lobster, and he got us take out one night....and put the ring (in the box) in the bottom of the bag. I don't know if I was more excited about my shrimp scampi, or the ring. ;0)
Seriously though...everyone likes something different. but when you chip away at all of those little details, it's the special moment of taking the relationship to the next step that is MOST important.
VERY best to you, good luck!
You've described Both of You going "over the top" in the past (on Her part as well as Yours) and because of that, I think She will love it - You and Her Parents know Her best; You like it, They like it, so it sounds like a good plan - in fact, She might be disappointed with any less from You.
I hope we hear from You again - We all want to know how it turns out !!
Well, you describe BIG celebrations as being your norm. Wow, you covered her whole car?! Impressed with that effort. If it fits her personality, and you know best, then I think you've come up with a unique and special plan for her. She will probably love it. Let us know how it goes!!! I'll be excited to hear!!
The problem i see is that once you start things on a big scale she will have expectations and what your presenting is a hard act to follow. I agree with Vance to KISS
KISS-Keep It Simple Stupid
Not calling you stupid but those are the best memories.
Sorry for all the type errors my phone keeps freezing I dont usually type like this, but will keep you posted.
Specialmom, that sounds amazing I would of loved to be able to do that with the magical fountain and rain, it sounds like something ou lt of a movie:) but unfotunanetly I dont have anything like that in my country:( But her personality is that shes very spontanious, out going, loves suprises and not shy at all. This years valentines day I broke my collarbone and got a operation and came out of the hospital the night before Vday. I had to take some very STRONG pain meds before I went to bed so I was knocked out. While I was sleeping she snuck into my apartment and coverd the whole place with red baloons and white teddybears with hearts, there was about 200bqloons and 30 big teddybears. I had to donate alot of it because it was just too much hahaha so you couod imagine the site I had when I woke up and I covered her entire car that afternoon with sticky note with a personal msg on ileach of them and according to her colluegs she cried proudly infront of everyone in the street:) so I think she would love my proposal. Her parents love the idea of it. But I will definitely love the idea.
Agree with SM and Tink.
This has to be about her and you have to take in consideration her personality especially if you want it to be a day she never "forgets."
I am very private and if my husband did something like this I would be jumping out of my skin............in a BAD sense/way.
Good luck with the proposal. :)
What You have planned does sound exciting but (personally) I'm eye to eye with SpecialMom on this one - but we are all different, She may be good with it. You know better than any of us how this will be received by Her. You've already planned it and put Your money on it so I hope it goes as You've perceived it will.
Good Luck - we would love to hear how it went, let us know.
What is her personality like? I ask that because I have a friend who's boyfriend planned a big public proposal. She was so embarrassed. She was saying yes but to her, it was an intimate moment and not a show. I'm that way too. I was proposed to in a very special, private way. Matched my personality. Now, there were people around . . . we were under the fountain of eros in London at midnight (where the legend is if you kiss your significant other at midnight, you'll be together forever) and people were milling around. But it was he and I (in the pouring rain under an umbrella that we put down as we embraced after the proposal and someone actually stole it . . . can you believe that???). Anyway, my point is . . . some like everyone watching at a moment like that and others don't. So, make sure this matches her personality. good luck
Don't forget to have someone videotaping!
I think that sounds amazing. You put a ton of thought and preparation into this and it shows that you really care about her a lot. If it were me I'd be truly speechless that anyone would do so much just to show me how much he loved me. Good luck and I hope she says yes!
I'm 100% confident she will say yes, its just that voice in the back of your head that keeps telling me what if she says no or if I screw up so i'm really stressing

If she says yes, this will be one of the best moments in her life. Are you pretty confident she will say yes?
