I think I have pneumonia

I went to the doctor last night and was diagnosed with bronchitis. Now I am having severe localized pain in my upper back region kind of around where my kidney is. Should I be concerned. I also have fever of 102.3 and severe congestion.

Hi, bronchitis leads to pleuritis (inflammation of pleural membrane which covers lungs) as a result pain is felt in coastal areas and in ribs. Are you having cough too?

It is most of the time possible for doctor to diagnose pneumonia by auscaltating the chest which i am sure your doctor must have done it. Fever associated with chills is seen in viral bronchitis. What antibiotics are you having, if any?

Still if you are apprehensive, please get the chest X ray done.

Hi, putting stethoscope over chest to listen breath sounds is called auscaltation. Well, if fever does not go down in next 2 days, please add augmentin along with azithromycin after consultation with doctor.

I was told I had acute bronchitis and the augmentin and steroids  . The steroids I've been on when I had a pinched nerve . But the augmentin is making it hurt like a UTI.
