My problem started in January. Had a sinus/allergy/cold so tried simply saline aerosol to clean out sinuses.  Lost my sense of smell and taste.  Got another sinus/allergy problem in June, went to doctor, diagnosed with Bronchitis.  Took Zpac for 7days, started getting metallic taste.  Then started on Losartan for high blood pressure.  Now have metallic taste in mouth sometimes and this awful burning smell like burnt coffee,or bacon, & electronic scorched smell all rolled into one.  Hard to describe. I can't smell anything else, not even a dead skunk!! I think I'll try drinking a lot of water and see what happens.

I have had this a couple of years now. I think I found out what it is. It may be a dehydration issue. When this occurs, I can drink 32oz of Gatorade and then a liter of bottled water and continue to drink as much water as I can for the day and it goes away and stays gone as long as I stay hydrated. If I wait too long to hydrate the burn smell becomes so intense that I get a headache. If I tackle this at the slightest hint of smoke smell with lots of water I can eliminate it rather quickly.

This is an outright attack on you by cowards who hide themselves and prey on people by cutting down oxygen levels in our homes and places we work in order to promote cancer growth and other such insidious disease so that their agenda be brought to fruition. Their goal is is to kill. It is here as it always has been ****** being pimped to promote some agenda.

After I had this "smell" for a while, I went to the Oncology Dept at a hospital (long story short) and they discovered I had a brachial cleft cyst (probably spelled wrong). The doc drained some fluid from my neck and the smell went away. He said it would come back unless I have the brachail cleft surgically removed. That was about 5-6 months ago. The smell was gone for about 3 months. Now it is back.
