Can std's cause bladder infections in women, and will macrobid cure it?

I will get strait to the point.. Im in a relation ship that is not going so well.. I am a little concerned that my partner may have been unfaithful.. Two weeks ago she told me she was having a funny feeling down there, so I asked her what she ment.. She said at the end of urinating it kind of tingles and there was some presure and pain in her bladder area, but no burning.. Just tingling and pressure/pain in her bladder area.. So anyway she went to the doctor and they said she had a uti, and gave her macrobid. She said they were also doing a urine culture, but its been two weeks and she has not mentioned any results.. Well in less than 48 hours of being on macrobid she said all her symptoms were gone.. MY question is.. Could her bladder infection have been caused by an std (chlamydia, gonorrhea), and if it was would the macrobid have gotten rid of her symptoms or cured it?

her symptoms sound like an uti which are very common in sexually active females. giving her provider the benefit of the doubt, we can assume that at the very least, a simple urine dip was done that showed infection and if nothing grew in her urine culture, they usually don't call the patient back.

if you doubt your partner's fidelity, why not sit down and talk to her?

Never heard of a STD causing a bladder infection. Yes bladder infections are caused by bacteria but STD's stay localized where the infection took place. Also some medications can cure a STD, but never heard of anyone saying that would cure a STD.

Do you have any particular reasons for your opinion, or is just an opinion? Hope that didn't sound sarcastic or rude.. Not at all trying to be that way.. Just hoping to get some good info.. The stuff I find on the net is so confusing.
