Clarification on Candidiasis

Im currently in my 7th week following a possible hiv exposure and last week I had a little gunk on my tongue which i used a tongue scraper to get off...Following that I have had multiple inflamed spots pop up on my tongue and thought i might have a yeast problem so i did the spit test this morning (im not even sure its a valid test from what ive been reading) But i definitely failed it if its a real way to tell you have a yeast problem.

But my real question is...Could this be the beginning of thrush?  Is 6 weeks too late to start developing ars symptoms..I have read numerous threads on ars and understand it starts early and usually doesnt involve thrush but im still worried about it all.  I have not had any other symptoms (fever sore throat etc.) with exception to having a sinus infection and a swollen under jaw lymph node on my right side (again i know symptoms arent going to determine if i have hiv or not)

I did test twice now for hiv once at 21 days and once at 35 I have an appt for an 8 week and will be making a 12 week appt.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Oh and lastly...Somewhat offtopic but are issues with the tongue a dentists domain or would it be a GP?

no, the spit test is not a valid test to see if you have thrush or not!

your gp is probably better for follow up on this than your dentist.
