Hsv1 or HSV2

Hi there,
I had unprotected oral sex and protected vaginal exposure. During my protected vaginal exposure I became soft and removed the condom and proceeded with unprotected oral i reapplied the old condom and again became soft i’m Not sure if that would expose me to HSV so that’s why I put it in here. Ten day later I began to have a burning and tingling sensation was treated and tested for chlamydia and gonnorhea. Two days after that the pain was intense when I was urinating so went back in and was told that she thought I had a UTI. Been taking those meds for 5 day and still having severe pain whe urinating. Does this sound like HSV??

It's definitely possible. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC228564/

Hope you feel better soon!

Yes, those meds would have cured the NGU - specifically the doxy and azithromycin.

If you haven't already, get the thing on your eye checked IMMEDIATELY. It's highly unlikely to be herpes, but you want to make sure it's not something else that needs treatment. Never leave anything on the eye unchecked.

Yeah went in got it checked out believe it to be pink eye due to a viral infection. HSV culture swab came back negative no response to antibiotics. Dysuria is finally subsiding but definitely still there. This is crazy!! The only thing I can find that it could possibly be isn’t the adenovirus

F#*** I developed a blist on my left eyelid and they’re sore on my cornea. So I’m guessing it is going to be HSV

Hi -

No, it doesn't, given that it's your only symptom. It could be something called NGU, which is non-gonoccocal urethritis. You can get that from normal mouth bacteria entering your urethra. Did they do a urine test to look for red and white blood cells in your urine? You should find out. And definitely follow up with your doctor since it's 5 days into treatment and you aren't better.

I was given More meds doxycycline and metronidazole. With no real improvement taking them for 2 days. But developed pink eye yesterday and now is in bothe eye. I have been reading something called the adenovirus and think that’s what I might be dealing with now. Not sure if they tested for that I will get my results for the urethra swab in two days. My test result was neg for gonnorhea and chlamydia.
I was wondering if the 1g Azithromycin would have cured NGU. Because that is what I was give day 1 now I’m on the doxy I would like to stop taking it as I don’t believe it’s working and I do believe that I have this adenovirus
