Need some reassurance...sick to my stomach with anxiety

I am a female and 10 days ago I received oral sex from another female during a drunken hookup. The female did not show any signs of herpes and I have since called her and asked if she has ever had a cold sore...she says she hasn’t. But I am sooooo worried. I am not displaying any symptoms and it’s been 10 days, however, I am sick with anxiety, hot flashes and feeling sick (from the stress, I believe). I can barely eat and cannot sleep. Doc, help, if I was infected would I already be showing some symptoms? Should I continue to worry myself sick? Help!

Oral sex exposes you to syphilis, gonorrhea and herpes. As you said, you didn't see any herpes signal, so I think you can forget about that one.

You can test for syphilis 6 weeks after the exposure. If you get it negative, re-test after 3 months, as there are people that take longer to show a positive result.

For gonorrhea, you have to test 3 weeks after the exposure.

But I must tell you that the risk is really low. STDs are difficult to catch, even with sexual intercourses. But sometimes, they don't show any symptom at all, even after a long time, so it's good to test after exposure with people we don't know.

Thank you. I’m guessing if I had Genital herpes I would already have some symptoms?
As I said, and I don't see myself able to repeat it again, you could have it and show no symptom at all. If you are interested in that virus, you can test after 3 months.
