I appreciate the feedback.
I am a healthy male 25 years old, no immune diseases or AIDS.
I just find it very annoying that some doctors tell their patients that either:
"once you have it and its gone, then it wont come back unless you are exposed to it again"
or
"once you have it and its gone, you are immune to further exposures"
They have obviously learned the above from somewhere.
Would you say I am MORE or LESS resistant to it now that I have had it it?
There is not a lot of research in this area as molluscum is a benign common skin virus. If it behaves like HPV, then the immune reaction of the body would be mediated through the T-Cells and immune CD8 helper cells. Molluscum can be reaquired if you have contact with some one with the infection. Molluscum is self limited except in people with advanced immune disease and in AIDS patients. Hope this helps.
