Accuracy of my syphilis tests

I had ten seconds of unprotected vaginal intercourse with a man of unknown status and 6 or 7weeks later had protected intercourse with same man.

My testing timeline is- instant result test 11 and 4 weeks after which was negative.

A second instant test 2 weeks after that, negative.

And a week after that an official what I think was a vdrl test which also came back negative so week 13/14 but week seven from protected.

Since 7 weeks ago I was unwell with fever and sore throat which lasted 2 weeks. 5 weeks ago I broke out in a pimple like rash on chest arms and legs.

I have also started breaking out spots on my face.

What are the chances of all those test being wrong?

Thank you for your time.

I'd say this isn't syphilis.

You tested negative 6 weeks, I think, after the protected sex. Most people will test positive by then.

I don't know what caused your illness - covid? the flu? something else? - but it is not likely to be syphilis. Have you seen your doctor?

If you are still concerned about syphilis, and need a final test to ease your mind, just get one. Put that to rest. I'd be surprised if it was positive.

Hi thanks for your reply

I've booked another one for tomorrow which will put me at 9/10 weeks after.

Yeah and would I be right in thinking that if I was showing second stage symptoms and had it I'd have definitely tested positive by now?
Yeah, that's what I would expect. Let us know the results. :)
Hi just letting you know I had an instant test done this morning at my local clinic, it was also negative.

I can stop now right? I checked the dated and it's been ten weeks and 1 day since the protected encounter.

You were right! Thank you
Yes, you can stop now. Happy to hear it was negative. :)

What you're saying is a little confusing if what you are asking is if you took the tests in the right time frame after the sex. You said "instant result 11 and 4 weeks after," is that two tests or one test? Then you said "a second instant test 2 weeks after that,"and then you said "a week after that" a vdrl test. Are you worried about (and starting your count on the calendar for testing from) the ten seconds of unprotected exposure or from the protected sex 6 to 7 weeks later?

Hi sorry.

11 and 4 weeks after means 11 weeks after unprotected and 4 after protected.

I'm counting from both although I know I'm well out of the window period for the unprotected encounter.

Also it was one one instant test at 11 week after unprotected which was 4 weeks after the protected.
