Unfaithful?

I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years now.  At the begining of our relationship neither of us had ever experienced any signs of the virus. After approx 8 months together  we both experienced our primary outbreak within days of each other.  Has this been dormant in one of us for years and unluckily we broke out for the first time together or is it more likely that he strayed?  I have spoken to my dr and done a great deal of research myself but can't seem to get a straight answer! Is there one?

If you had both had blood tests at the time of your initial symptoms, it would've helped possibly narrow down who gave it to whom if that's important for you.  At this point too much time has passed for this to be useful for that.

If you read our posting tips you'll see that we request that you just keep asking all your questions in the same thread instead of starting a new one with each new question. thank you for your cooperation with this :)

Hiya.  Thanks for the info. I didn't have blood testing done and as far as I'm aware he didn't. Why do you ask? Is it something I should have done?

Thanks again

You can't get a straight answer because there isn't any.

Its possible he strayed, its possible that was the first time he had an outbreak, it could have been the first time you did.

Did either of you get blood testing done at the time of your outbreaks?
