I need to find out what this is... Please help!

I've been diagnosed with Vaginal herpes and I got my first outbreak back in January, there were a lot of sores inside my labia minora and vaginal entrance I took Aciclovir tablets and it cleared up within a week. Last Tuesday I had sex with my partner and it wasn't particularly rough but I wasn't well lubricated and was painful and difficult when he entred me. After sex I was very sore and it burned when I urinated. The next day the pain was still there, in fact it was worse. The pain was coming from the perineum and the fourchet, it was so sore and burned like nothing I had ever experienced when I urinated. It did not give me any discomfort other than when i went to the toilet and when I touched it. 3 days later the pain was still there and I got my partener to have a look what was going on, he said it was red raw and there was a tiny cut and a tiny sore with a white head on it. He said it looked nothing like my herpes outbreak I had before.
Could this be herpes? Does herpes reach that far back? Do you  have to have apparent ulcers to be herpes? I tried putting some hydrocortizone cream on the area as I researched this would help but this make the stinging worse.
The next morning, I found a small sore on my right labia majora that had a white-ish yellow-ish head and was very sore to touch. Again, my parner says it looked nothing like my herpers outbreak. It is now 6 days since sex, my right labia majora is now swollen and clothes are iritating it and making it even worse. It is still extremely sore and not healing at all so, I have started to take Aciclovir again as I have been researching and I think perhaps it is a herpes outbreak. What do you think this could be?

Hopefully this can ease your mind a bit before you see your doc. I have had perenium cuts (abrasions) before and I can tell you that they are extremely painful!  It helps to urinate in a shallow bath of cool water.  It takes quite a while to heal up, especially due to the location and rubbing against your undergarments.  I would recommend not wearing any undergarments and wear loose cotton pants like french terry sweats.  Push a lot of water and stay away from anything acidic.  Also when the tissue tears it can be white as it starts to heal and you could also scar as a result of tears in this area.  Hopefully it is nothing more than this and will clear up soon.

Is there an instant care place where you can go?  I don't know where you are from, but there must be a walk in clinic somewhere.

It's more the pain that's worrying me. It hurts so bad when I urinate.
As it's bank holiday the earliest they can see me is Tues anyway.
Thank you.

What's worrying you so much?

You should call the doctor's tomorrow and tell them its getting worse and that you need to be seen sooner.  There's no reason they can't squeeze you in sooner.

There is no way for us to know what is causing this for you.  A doctor needs to see it.

Thank you for your help.

I've got a doctors appointment for Thursday which is the earliest they can see me. I'm just hoping with these tablets it will start to get better by then.

It conerns me as I didn't think it was an outbreak and I cannot think what else it can be!

I have thought of perinuenm cuts and an in growing hair but is that a coincidence to have both at the same time!?

If anyone else can shed some light on this I will be very thankful as I'm worrying myself sick with this! Thank you

It might be a herpes outbreak, but it doesn't sound a lot like it, and at 6 days, it would be getting better, not worse.

You need to see your doctor for this.

In the future, when you get symptoms of an outbreak, even if you aren't sure it is one, take the acyclovir right away.  It works best when you take it early.

You should read the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com and check out our herpes forum.
