Balanitis

A few days ago a round red/purple spot appeared on the side of my (half)penis glans/(half)crease leading to shaft. It looked almost like a bruise and it was a very slightly swollen on the glans area. Now it is much darker, almost black, and no longer swollen. A thin layer of skin has rubbed off and now exposing the inner skin, almost like a minor burn. There’s no pain. It’s confined to that one area. The spot radius is about 2cm with very marked lines, not blurred. The glans area of the spot is dark red(wine) colored while the part under the glans is closer to black. It was very sensitive to my boxers rubbing against it at first, but less sensitive now. I’ve searched online and photos don’t really help determine what it could be. I am circumcised and sexually active. Does this sound like balanitis? Please help.
